Lila Burns, CalArts Graphic Design Program

My husband is a drafts person by trade. He had studied to work in lighting and theatrical set design and during his college years he took many a drafting class. Now 20 years later became apparent that getting an online graphic design degree would serve him well.

He designs not sets, but he has the design exhibition stands and everything some of them go inside. Graphic design is a large part of his work and everything he has learned he is self-taught on the computer programs available to him. He loves graphic design and believes that obtaining a degree combined with his experience can help him to a future career in graphic design.

There are many art institutes and colleges that offer Associates and Bachelors degree online graphic design options. He is looking for an accredited school with courses that are not only electronic or technical aspects but also on the design, layout, and artwork. He is someone who is used to make many of his design by hand and even thought the computer makes the things easier in some respects there is still nothing like work that was created by hand. Of course he tries further educated in this area so that an Associate degree will be good work for him. If he just started out, he would definitely look into a Bachelor or a Master for an advanced degree.

Technology has changed the field of graphic design in recent decades. An online graphic design degree can work well for people who work in certain areas. Advertising, marketing, theater arts, just a few.

Not only is it important that the school be recognized and offer a wide range of courses, but the school is also a schedule that works for people who go to school full time and going online. He is eager to learn about all the technology available in the field of graphic design. He feels that he is a much better designer with a design degree and that it will benefit him in future job prospects.

An online graphic design degree is a great choice for anyone working with images. It also looks a great choice for a career advance for my husband and to help him feel he up to date and working to the best of his ability.

Programs Graphic Design

What are some good universities with good art programs, graphic design software of choice?

I know it's the Center Art and I know that CSULB has a decent program. However, I'd appreciate having some alternatives. Thanks in advance.
