Rapid prototyping is a revolutionary and powerful technology with a wide range of applications. The process of rapid prototyping involves building a prototype or working model the purpose of testing the various features designs, ideas, concepts, functionality, output and performance. The user is able to direct feedback on the prototype and performance development. Rapid prototyping is essential part of the process of designing the system and it is probably very beneficial as far as reducing the project cost risks and concerns.
Rapid prototyping is known by many terms as per relevant technologies, such as SFF or solid freeform fabrication, FF or freeform fabrication, digital manufacturing, AFF or automated freeform fabrication, 3D printing, solid imaging layer based manufacturing, laser prototyping and additive manufacturing.
History Rapid Prototyping:
Sixties: The first rapid prototyping techniques became accessible in the later eighties and they were used to produce the prototype and model share. The history of rapid prototyping can be traced to the late sixties, when an engineering professor, Herbert Feel Attacker, himself questioned about the possibilities of doing interesting things with the computer controlled and automated tools. These tools had just begun to appear over the factory floor. Feel Attacker tried to find a way automatic machine tools which can be programmed using the output of a draft of a computer program.
Seventies: Do ajgundi developed the basic tools of the mathematics that clearly describe the three dimensional aspects and resulted in the earliest theories of algorithmic and mathematical theories for solid modeling. These theories form the basis of modern computer programs used for designing almost all things mechanical, from the smallest car to the highest skyscraper. Volecker theories changed the design of methods in the seventies, but the old design methods were still very much in use. The old method involved either a driver or machine tool controlled by a computer. The metal hunk was cut away and the needed part remained as per requirements.
Eighties: However, in 1987, Carl Deckard, a researcher form the University of Texas, came good with a revolutionary idea. He pioneered the low production base, which he thought to build the model layer by layer. He pressed 3D models by using laser light for fusing metal powder in solid prototypes, single layer at a time. Deckard developed this idea into a technique called "Selective Laser Sintering ". The results of this technique were very promising. The history of rapid prototyping is quite new and recent. However, such broad scope and applications amazing results when this technique of rapid prototyping, it has grown by leaps and bounds.

Although there are many references of people pioneering the rapid prototyping technology, the industry gives recognition to Charles Hull for the patent for the production of equipment of 3D objects by stereolithography. Charles Hull is recognized by industry as the father of rapid prototyping.

It is no fault of the school that you bought the computer equipment wear parts over time and eventually fail. Given the specifications of the GX270, I highly doubt your computer is under warranty, and therefore would have to pay the parts to be replaced. If you call the school, what would you say? "I bought this from you a month ago and has now broken. I want my money back?
